October 2011
|
My phased retirement began July 1, 2011. That means that I will teach in the spring semesters of 2012, 2013, and 2014, and during that time I will retain my position as Professor of English and Faculty Scholar, even my office.
During the Fall semesters of 2011, 2012, and 2013, I will finish books now in progress. They include Anglo-Saxon Keywords, due in May 2012; Food Networks: Eating and Identity in Anglo-Saxon England; and a co-edited collection called Teaching Beowulf in the Twenty-First Century, due out in 2013.
I'll also begin my book on medieval masculinity.
In Spring 2012 I will teach undergraduate Chaucer (English 322, meets 1-2.15 T/Th) and an honors seminar on trauma, war, and masculinity (English 395, meets 10-11.15 T/Th).
